5 Simple Tips On Improving Your Google PR

After reading tons and tons of tips and information, I finally figure out how I can start getting at least PR 1 before I graduate to good PR, typically PR 5 or higher.

1. Get As Many Inbound Links As Possible. Google ranks a page according to the number and quality of links leading to that page. For example, if your page has 100 quality inbound links leading to it, it will rank higher than another page that has only 20 links pointing at it.

2. Keyword-Laden Links. If the backlinks pointing to your page has the relevant keyword text in them, it will cause your page to be ranked higher in search engine results. For example, a link with the text “directory submission” pointing at your blog will cause your blog to be listed earlier if a visitor searches for “directory submission” than if the link simply said “click here”.

3. Have a Few Links From Other Relevant Blogs With a Google PageRank of 5 or Higher to Really Make a Difference. The more backlinks you have the better.

The best way is to search for blogs in Google that are considered related or your competitors, and then find out which blogs are linking to those “competitor” blogs. Search for “link:www.competitor.com” in Google – this will return a list of blogs linking to your competitor.

Then you can taylor an email to the webmaster of that blog, asking them if they’d be interested in linking to your blog as well. This is time consuming, but really the only way to get links, unless people naturally link to your blog because they like it.

4. Write Quality Content so that the people link back to you. The more unique content you have on your blog chances are greater that blogs will link back in order to provide their visitors interesting and informative content to read.

5. Have It Indexed in the Blogging Directories. I’ve listed below the most popular directories that you can submit your new blog to. I have also tried to include the current page rank of each free directory submission for your convenience. Make sure you get your blog submitted to each and every blog directory on this list.
