Save Emergency Funds In Debit Cards

I am glad that I am able to save some money for emergency funds. Though not much, it is still better than none.

It’s kind of difficult for me to save at first as I couldn’t use auto-debit to transfer my money online into my local savings account. I had to withdraw my PayPal money to my VMI card (US bank) and then withdraw money at ATM machines. Once the cash was in my hand, it was impossible to be saved…;D

What about my monthly salary ? Well,…I collect cash for the tuition fees. You see, again ! Cash in hand.

Now, I believe I can save more money. PayPal allows Malaysians to withdraw money using local bank debit cards (Public Bank Debit Cards) meaning which I can transfer PayPal money into my local bank debit card soon. So, it’s kind of auto-debit for me…;D

I know I should not tie my emergency funds to a debit card as it may sabotage my efforts by making it easy to spend the money. Maybe it works for me as I have controlled my spending habit quite well.
