Cheap Hong Leong Bank! Keep Adding New Debt To My Credit Card Outstanding Balance!

I don’t really know how much credit card debt I have now. I need some time to let the dust settle.

You see, although I am under a debt management program, some banks are still very stubborn.

They are still charging me late payment fees and cash advance fees until today.

It’s been 5 months since I was under the debt management program and during this 5-month period, all banks should have been notified and they shouldn’t have charged the late payment fees and retail interest charges.

My credit counselor said that some banks purposely did it so that they could keep adding new debt to my account. Damn cheap Hong Leong Bank!

I will never ever forget this cheap Hong Leong Bank that banked in my post-dated checks although I had told them not to a week earlier.

As a result, my check was bounced and I was charged $100 respectively by this cheap Hong Leong Bank and my check issuance bank, plus a warning letter from the check issuance bank.

It happened to the first check and also the second check. Ya, I was charged a total of $400 for two bounced checks because of this money sucker, Hong Leong Bank.

This is one of the ways they keep adding new debt to my account until after 5 months under the debt management program, the outstanding balance for my Hong Leong credit cards is still the same.

  1. hi, i have problems with Hong Leong too…I just maintained a minimum payment & was short of RM37 for the last payment. They charged me RM57++ for retail interest saying that is due to my under payment. FYI, I only use RM75 for fuel that month. For another card, I was charged with RM2.42 although no retail purchased was made, and that was after I maintain the minimum payment.

So, I was under impression that Hong Leong bank is cheating their customer because of this bizzare explanation that didnt support any of the scenario above…

    Or, am I wrong?
