Higher Discounts For Less Healthy Drinks?

Hubby and I have noticed that the supermarkets in our town seem to give higher discounts for less healthy drinks.

This means healthy drinks are discounted less while unhealthy drinks are given higher discounts.

Aren’t people encouraged to buy healthy drinks? It looks like people are encouraged to consume unhealthy drinks and foods because the amount of the discount is greater on products higher in fat, sugar and energy.

The next time when hubby and I go to the shopping mall, we will check if the higher discount lighting does more harm than good or more good than harm to the environment.
