Hi, Steven,
Thanks for dropping by.
I am now in AKPK debt management program. I enrolled in the debt repayment plan last August and was approved of in October.
For easy reading for all my AKPK debt management program posts, you have to hop over to another credit card debt blog of mine.
I need a non paid post blog to record my credit card debt and progress of the debt management program.
Need Extra Money In Hand May 14, 2009

Great! Hubby banked in the first half of the car loan installment this morning.
I am hoping that we have extra money left after paying our debt repayments, home loan installment, bank overdraft interest charge and utility bills at the end of the month.
My family members are coming to visit me and hubby on the first week of June, so there is a need for us to have extra few hundreds in hand.
We even put off having the car serviced and buying a barcode scanner to another month.
Do What Your AKPK DMP Credit Counselor Says April 23, 2009
Posted by Vedis in : Debt Management Plan , 1 comment so farHi,
I have to say thank you to you. Thanks to your blog, I am currently “on my way” to join the DMP.
Good to hear that you are on your way now.
I heard about AKPK before but just like anyone else who doesn’t know much about AKPK’s function, I just ignored it until I found your blog which totally changed my whole mind and even my miserable life of being so many debts surround me..!!
You know, before I applied to AKPK’s debt management program, I tried to find if any blogger was in this program. None.
All blogs and websites that I came across were introducing what AKPK stood for, when it was established and why you should enroll in the program.
It’s different now. You can find more and more bloggers who are really in AKPK DMP these days.
I have attended the taklimat session and had meet up the counsellor as well, and my husband too agreed to join the DMP since we are now terribly “drowned” in credit cards and personal loans debts!
Good that you hubby joined you. This means both of you will stop the bleeding together. Imagine if your loved one doesn’t want to get involved and he keeps adding new debt!
But one question, since I will only submit my application at the end of this month (I only need to pay around RM1k at the end of this month instead of RM6k per month), do I need to make any monthly repayment like I used to during my processing?
You mean you submit the application form and the repayment of $1,000 at one time? Oh, this is different from mine. Maybe AKPK has changed their policy a bit.
You see, when I submitted my application in August 2008, I was not asked to make any payment first. I only made the first payment in October when my application was approved.
If they accept your application and first payment at the same time, I feel that your application may be approved.
If you are not eligible, AKPK won’t even give out the application form.
As the consellor told me that starting from the day I submit my applications (which means at the end of this month) , I no need to pay my debts anymore.. is that so? Please comment. Thanks.
If your credit counselor said so, trust him. Once you submit your application form, I tell you, it’s like having a shield or talisman protecting you.
AKPK is on your side. No banks dare to do anything to you. They are not supposed to call you anymore! It’s true. So, it’s up to you – let the phones keep ringing or tell them that your application is under process.
There are mean banks that will threaten you that they will send third party collection agencies to collect the outstanding balance. No panic! Just tell them that you have already made your first payment to AKPK if you have done so.
After you have submitted your application form and first payment, you will still get a lot of phone calls from banks. Some think that you are gullible and threaten that you are at legal stage and you’d better make your payment or they will send you to court. Wuahaha…

This month is the 7th month I am under the debt management program.
If everything goes on well, I will make my 7th repayment while hubby will make his 3rd repayment to our separate debt management plans next week.
Separate debt repayment plan accounts? Yes, I have mine and he has his.
It’s A Free Debt Management Program April 9, 2009
Posted by Vedis in : Debt Management Plan , add a commentSome are baffled as to why I resorted to a debt management program to pay off my credit card debt?
Why not? It’s a FREE Debt Management Program.
A debt management program is a legitimate way of solving your credit card debt without the need for bankruptcy.
A debt management program is for you if you have credit cards, store cards or debts from home shopping catalogs which you are unable to meet the minimum repayment requirements each month or find that you are paying so much high interest that the debts are not being reduced significantly.
Call The Credit Counselor Again About The Debt Repayment Issue April 9, 2009

I did call my credit counselor again the next day. She told me not to worry because everyone in the debt management program got the message.
There was a technical glitch that caused the message sent out to everyone.
My credit counselor also assured me that so long as I made my debt repayment in time, I had nothing to worry about.
After that phone chat with my debt management counselor, I felt burden lifted off my shoulders and was willing to accompany hubby to collect his rubber stamps.
I hope my credit counselor didn’t think I was paranoid like Desperate Housewives‘ Susan Meyer.
Must Call Credit Card Debt Counselor To Check My Debt Management Program March 27, 2009

It’s funny. Last night, I got a message from the debt management program agency informing of my overdue debt repayment.
Overdue repayment? Huh?
I bank in my debt repayment before the 30th every month and this month’s repayment was banked in yesterday morning.
So, how is it possible that I still have overdue repayment?
I had better call my credit card debt counselor to find out. I don’t want anything to happen to my debt management program.
My Debt Management Program Is Free February 21, 2009
Posted by Vedis in : Debt Management Plan , add a commentThe debt management program I am joining is free. Yes, free credit card debt management program offered by a government agency.
The government-owned credit counseling and debt management program agency is in charge of negotiating lower interest rates with banking institutions.
Once banks agree with the interest rates and credit card debt balances, the credit counselor will inform you of the detailed debt repayment plan.
You bank in the debt repayment into the credit management agency’s collection account every month and from there the credit counselor will distribute the agreeable amount to each bank.
So, my debt management program is totally free.
